Sciatica and Lumbar Radiculopathy

Sciatic pain is pain that travels along the course of the sciatic nerve: down your lower back, hips, and buttocks, branching into either leg. Sciatica can be extremely painful, but surgery is usually not offered unless the condition is severe enough to also cause leg weakness or bowel and bladder dysfunction.

Similarly, lumbar radiculopathy is referred pain from the lumbar spine in the low back. Lumbar radicular pain and numbness may be felt in your low back and legs.

At California Pain Center, Dr. Yun offers non-surgical interventions for sciatica and lumbar radiculopathy. He has expertise in minimally-invasive treatments, including epidural injections, nerve blocks, and spinal cord stimulation. In many cases, Dr. Yun can help patients avoid or delay surgery using these treatments. In addition, Dr. Yun can also help patients who continue to have pain despite undergoing surgery.

If you’re suffering from chronic leg, low back, or buttock pain, please contact California Pain Center today at (855) 985-7246.
